We are building a better USI website
The USI Office has been working behind the scenes to improve usability and to streamline our highest volume transactions for our stakeholders. The development of the website has and will continue to be collaborative and we would like to thank you for the feedback provided on the alpha test site. Our new Beta website runs in conjunction with our current website, so please get involved and tell us what you think using the feedback option on the left hand side of each page.
Although the enhanced features will look different, all the information you need to create, maintain and view your USI information will be here.
What is a Beta website?
The first stage of building a new website is the Beta stage. This gives us the opportunity to get your feedback on new designs and content so we can make it better before it becomes the new USI website.
Our USI Beta website is simply a new and improved version of our existing website. The USI Beta website gives us a place to deliver (and, importantly, test) our new designs and solutions, with live content. The current USI website has more than 700 web pages, the new streamlined Beta site has fewer pages with duplicated information, consolidated key content and simplified navigation, based on analysis of usage patterns and user centred research.
We are using a staged approach to analyse, restructure, consolidate, rewrite, design and keep building the new USI website. Our aim is to provide our stakeholders with the best possible online self-service experience. If you encounter any useability issues, please submit your feedback using the button located on the left hand side of every page.
We encourage you to get involved and provide your feedback, so we can take it on board to continually improve the quality of the USI online services and make access easier for all users. We will make changes based on your feedback, so you will see changes from time to time.
Our Beta process
We use the following process to release new functionality and move content to our new beta website:
- design and build
- get feedback
While we are working on making our information easier to understand and find, you will notice that some pages are not quite finished, we hope this gives you an idea of where we’re heading.
We follow the Digital Transformation Agency’s (DTA’s) Service design and delivery process Service design and delivery process (SDDP) and Digital Service Standard (DSS). We also work within a number of other industry standards, guidelines and best practices to facilitate a better service for you, our users.
