Learn what information is included on your VET transcript.

Creating and claiming a document that isn’t an authenticated USI vocational education training (VET) transcript carries serious penalties and is an offence under the Criminal Code Act 1995 and the Student Identifiers Act 2014.

What is shown on your VET transcript

The front page of your VET transcript contains:

  • collection period of training
  • student’s verified name
  • completed VET qualifications and the training organisations that issued it
  • completed VET units and modules and the training organisations that delivered it
  • funding sources of any units, modules or subjects
  • outcomes achieved from any units, modules or subjects
  • enrolment periods.

The last page of your VET transcript contains:

  • a transcript disclaimer
  • explanatory notes, to describe the abbreviated values used in the transcripts.

What isn't covered on your VET transcript

Your VET transcript doesn’t show:

  • higher education qualifications
  • training not nationally recognised (even if delivered by a Registered Training Organisation)
  • training completed overseas with a non-Australian provider
  • training submitted to National Centre for Vocational Education Research or a State Training Authority without a USI
  • training completed before 2015
  • training commenced after data reported within the relevant current quarter
  • training outcomes that changed after the last relevant annual or quarterly submission date.

VET training delivered in a single day or less and undertaken before 2018 may not show on a VET transcript. This is due to a temporary exemption that occurred.
